Drive is an Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar.[1] Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi, the story of the film revolves around the manhunt for an infamous ‘King’ for a robbery of 300 Kilograms of gold. An undercover agent infiltrates a street racing gang who is chasing the King.[2][3][4][5] The film was scheduled to release on 7 September 2018, but was pushed to 28 June 2019, now it will be streamed on Netflix from 1 November 2019.

Drive, which is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, went on floors on March 1, 2017. The makers wanted to release the film on Holi 2018 but since the shooting of the film took time, they decided to release it on September 7, 2018 but this was further pushed to June 28, 2019.

However, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film is now delayed further and won’t be releasing in June. A source close to the development told the daily, “The post-production is taking longer than expected since the film is high on action with multiple racing scenes. Since the bar of action has been raised by both Bollywood and Hollywood spectacles in the last couple of years, the visual effects team is taking its time to get the scale right.”

The source told the daily, “The final edit has been locked, and presently the film is in the final stage of postproduction. Contrary to reports that it is being reshot or will be premiered on the digital platform, Drive is on course to a regular theatrical release in the second half of the year.”
